| Description: |
Few organizations are satisfied with their safety cultures. And many who work hard to instill a strong safety culture wonder why it is such a difficult and frustrating task. But research and experience show that there are certain key attributes an organization must have to achieve a successful safety culture. By implementing programs to build these attributes, you can not only achieve a better safety culture, you can attain what many view as the ultimate goal – an employee driven safety program.
Join us when our safety experts discuss what motivates people to take risks (or conversely, to avoid them), how to change employee attitudes about safety, and how to actually achieve an employee driven safety program.
To give a practical demonstration these concepts, our expert panelists will use a case study of an initiative to encourage employees to take ownership of an ergonomics program at a union-based manufacturing plant.
You’ll learn:- What motivates employees to take risks – or avoid them
- Key attributes an organization needs to achieve a world-class safety culture
- How some managers unintentionally undermine the safety program
- How to assess an organization’s safety culture—and what to fix first if there are problems
- Practical tips to engage employees in safety
- How to move step by step to an employee-driven program
