Recently, the Treasury Department’s “pay czar” ordered that the salaries of several executives from bailed-out financial institutions and auto manufacturers be slashed. And the Los Angeles Times recently reported that the Federal Reserve is looking to oversee the pay of top banking executives when it appears that their compensation could increase their institutions’ financial risks.
